    This in-person summer program is designed for motivated young tournament players who want to continue building their chess understanding, strengthen practical tournament skills, and stay sharp throughout the summer.
    Classes are designed by Grandmaster Rashad Babaev, founder of GMChessPrep, providing students with structured, high-level instruction in a focused and supportive environment.
    The summer curriculum is designed as a continuation and progression of previous semesters, helping returning students deepen their understanding while keeping lessons fresh, interactive, and engaging.
    Each class combines instruction, guided analysis, practical exercises, and tournament-style thinking to help students immediately apply new ideas during real games.

    Summer Program Focus

    Throughout the summer session, students will work on:
    • Improving tactical calculation and pattern recognition
    • Understanding deeper positional concepts and piece activity
    • Strengthening middlegame planning and attacking ideas
    • Improving practical endgame technique and conversion skills
    • Learning how strong players think during tournament games
    • Developing confidence, focus, and disciplined decision-making
    • Analyzing instructive classical and modern master games
    • Improving tournament preparation and practical play habits
    Students are also encouraged to bring their own tournament games for group discussion and analysis.
